Beautiful 1863 playbill announcing a concert (entitled “Great Music Performance” in German) with the famous composer conducting his own music in Karlsruhe, Germany. In the first part, Wagner conducts an orchestral part of Tristan und Isolde (the full opera was not premiered until 1865) and 3 short parts of Die Meistersinger. In the second, Wagner conducts 3 parts of Die Walkure and one of Siegfried (the full opera was not premiered until 1876). Mounted on acid-free mat, easy to remove if desired. A highly desirable and very rare item!
